Because the Canadian flag is red and white. And while the US flag is red, white and blue, the blue part is where the stars that represent the states are.
That’s why red works better in Canada and blue works better in the US.
Also, Canadians are more comfortable with communism than Americans are. Case in point... Cuba.
Note that I’m just pulling this out of my ass and it has no scientific basis.

Wonder why.
But, I wouldn’t give you 10 cents Chinese for a Honda or Toyota. But I still recommend them them to my non-car-caring friends. I tell them they will own the most dull, boring, beige cars made, but they are dependable. They only hear “dependable”.

US Honda Motorcycle dealers use red signs, to differentiate the car dealers they use blue signs.
Ford used to do this with tractor dealers

It is uniquely American form of marketing. It is supposed to show that a company is committed to an industry. It was a way at the beginning for Honda to say “We are a car company not a motorcycle company who also makes cars”

That’s a darn good question that I don’t really have an answer for.
I do, though, know that red and blue were the colors of two of Honda’s former dealer networks back in their home country...
Primo was red, like Honda Canada...
Clio was blue, like Honda US...
And Verno was green (and a similar shade of green to what’s typically seen at a Land Rover dealer).
But now they’re like this, which still uses some red, making the Honda stores in Japan of today more like those in Canada than in the US.
Just some fascinating information I thought you might find interesting.
Oh, and Nissan used to have red and blue dealerships in Japan, too.
Red Stage (like Honda Canada)
Blue Stage (like Honda US)
...and even Red & Blue Stage!

The British and Americans both used “color” and “colour” interchangeably until the 18th century or so. Each country’s publishing industries eventually settled on different spellings for their dictionaries.

England didn’t invent English. They patched it together after hunting down other languages in dark alleys, beating them up, and looting their pockets for spare grammar and punctuation rules.

Blue is the historic color of conservatives in the US. Honda makes/made painfully practical conservative cars...
I believe red is associated with conservatives there, too, though it could be the flag color (Canadians love their flag more than even those in the US).

The same was true in the US until a shady cabal of media people decided to change it. It was the election of 2000, if I’m not mistaken, where all channels used red for conservative and blue for socialist, which is the opposite of all historic precedent.
I couldn’t remember what color the signs were, but the conservatives are not popular in the portion of Canada I usually visit, so I rarely saw their signs. Red, however, is far more popular in general due to the flag.

Notice the lack of a negative. Who doesn't give a **** vs. Who gives a **** one implies no one cares (the first one) the other implies that at least someone cares (at least where I used it).
